Yesterday I told you about the jar of Biscoff Spread I ordered, (mmmmmm yummy....but I'm not to the bottom of the jar quite yet.) And the day before that I told you we went apple picking.
So where do you think my brain went?
BISCOFF APPLE CRISP!!!
First I filled my intended baking dish with apples - peeled and sliced them and tossed in a teaspoon each of cinnamon and nutmeg. After I filled the baking dish, I dotted the top with a tablespoon of butter.
I replaced the butter in my Blueberry Crisp recipe with a quarter cup of Biscoff spread....but it was still too dry...so I added a tablespoon of unsalted butter.
Then I baked it at 350 for an hour until the apples bubbled up....and I have to tell you - I may never make a crisp without Biscoff Spread EVER again!!!
It's like a cookie crumble top. The only thing I would do different is eliminate the flour and just mix oatmeal with the spread!
So what adventure did you have today??
I bought a jar yesterday, too (they carry it at my local grocery store!). I have a recipe for a peanut butter cake that I'm going to try with Biscoff spread instead. Can't wait to try this apple crisp, too!
