Gorgeous! But does your Cleveland pear have that peculiar SMELL that most pear trees seem to have?!!! (I hope not) What the heck IS that? It certainly doesn't smell like pear, does it? :-)


Julianne - Thankfully NO! I don't know why pear trees are so stinky when the flower...but this one is some kind of hybrid that produces teeny, tiny fruit, and the flowers have no scent at all!


Excellent!!! Have you made anything with the fruit or are the pears more decorative than edible?


I've never tried eating them...the are about the size of a blueberry - they're probably ornamental :)
